Four practical steps.
When the produce is measured.
Record the measured quantity and unit. Note the reason and amount for any rejection or weight deduction separately from the accepted produce.
Connect quantity and price.
Bring together the accepted quantity, agreed unit price and any other agreed deductions. Confirm the total amount payable and its expected payment date.
Keep evidence and follow up.
Keep the delivery acknowledgement and sale record. Record payments actually received separately and set a follow-up date for any balance still due.
